With LDA Capital’s backing, SKY Play is set to redefine the future of blockchain gaming.
South Korea-based blockchain gaming platform SKY Play has secured a US$10 million commitment from global investment group LDA Capital Limited. The funding will bolster SKY Play’s efforts to expand its gaming catalog, acquire new users, and tap into its current blockchain community of over 300,000 monthly active users. SKY Play’s platform, which uses SKP coins as in-platform currency, is serving games to over 170 countries and aims to increase its user base to over 10 million by 2024.
Richard Chang, CEO of SKY Play, stated, “The investment from LDA Capital will serve as a significant driving force for the future growth of SKY Play. I am confident that together, we will pioneer the future and become invaluable partners in our journey of growth.”
Anthony Romano, Managing Partner at LDA Capital Ltd, expressed great excitement for the alliance with SKY Play, which is at the forefront of play-to-earn (P2E) platforms. He noted the varied entertainment options offered by SKY Play’s vast ecosystem across sports, arts and crafts, its multifaceted strategy and its community-focused structure, saying these elements set them apart as they continue to release more games and diversify their offerings.
Founded in July 2021, SKY Play is a platform that integrates blockchain technology, a key aspect of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. It offers a variety of games, such as ClashRow, and provides users with the ability to earn SKP coins and trade NFTs. Users can engage with games and content while also being part of the NFT marketplace.
Users on SKY Play’s accessible platform can use SKP coins they’ve accumulated for numerous functions within the platform’s ecosystem. The platform creates a smooth fusion between its content and SKP, giving users the ability to utilize a wide spectrum of services offered by each project with SKP as the core currency.
SKY Play is currently developing an artificial intelligence (AI) avatar to act as a metaverse platform, aiming to connect cities, people and the future and provide new experiences and business models. The platform’s goal is to evolve into a platform that presents innovative experiences and diverse opportunities to its users by showcasing the future of digital content through blockchain and AI technologies.
