Amazon Integrates Buy with Prime into Salesforce Commerce Cloud

This strategic partnership between Amazon and Salesforce introduces advanced features for online shopping, aligning with modern consumer needs.

Amazon has announced its new ‘Buy with Prime for Salesforce Commerce Cloud’ integration, aimed at enhancing the online shopping experience for Salesforce merchants. This integration allows merchants to easily incorporate Buy with Prime into their current shopping platforms, offering a range of new features.

New features of Buy with Prime

Key features include the ability for customers to search and filter for Prime-eligible items and combine Prime-eligible and non-eligible items in a single order. This integration is expected to help Salesforce merchants reach new customers and increase sales conversions by offering Prime’s well-known benefits such as fast, free delivery, a secure checkout experience, around-the-clock live chat support and straightforward returns. Initially, Buy with Prime for Salesforce will be available by invitation to select Salesforce merchants and will later become accessible to all U.S.-based Salesforce Commerce Cloud merchants via the Salesforce AppExchange.

Peter Larsen, Amazon’s vice president of Buy with Prime, highlights that this integration allows merchants to offer a familiar purchasing option within their digital storefronts. It incorporates Buy with Prime seamlessly into the search, cart and checkout processes, providing flexibility and functionality while maintaining the store’s unique design.

The integration is part of Amazon’s commitment to supporting merchants of all sizes in growing their businesses. By offering the trusted Prime shopping experience, including 24/7 live chat support and hassle-free returns, Buy with Prime has demonstrated an average increase in shopper conversion by 25%. Merchants also retain ownership of customer data coming through Buy with Prime purchases on their websites.

Michael Affronti, Salesforce’s senior vice president and general manager of Commerce Cloud, emphasizes that the integration aligns with their goal to aid eCommerce businesses in driving profitable growth and enhancing customer shopping experiences. With Buy with Prime, Salesforce merchants can attract Prime members and grow their businesses through the trusted Prime shopping experience.

Enhanced Integration and Operational Ease

Buy with Prime for Salesforce simplifies integration for merchants, allowing them to incorporate the service into their existing storefronts while retaining control over the customer experience. It also streamlines daily operations by automatically syncing with Salesforce Order Management for orders, promotions and catalog listings. This end-to-end integration can be customized to suit the placement and appearance of Buy with Prime across various pages of a merchant’s website.

Expanding customer reach and loyalty

Buy with Prime is designed to help merchants connect with new customers and foster brand loyalty, offering continuous live chat support and retaining customer data from Buy with Prime purchases. By providing the familiar Prime shopping experience, Buy with Prime has shown to boost shopper conversion by an average of 25%, with most orders coming from new customers.

Leveraging Amazon’s logistics for efficient fulfillment

Buy with Prime orders, whether placed on a merchant’s website or Amazon.com, are fulfilled using Amazon’s logistics network. This shared inventory pool allows merchants to scale their inventory across multiple sales channels, reducing stock outages and expediting delivery times. For example, Amazon Multi-Channel Fulfillment offers Buy with Prime merchants high on-time delivery rates, seven-day delivery service and significantly faster delivery times compared to other retailers.
