[ Press Release ] Singapore-based Trames launches new solution to help SMEs digitise and streamline their supply chains

Singapore-based supply chain orchestration technology start-up, Trames, whose goal is to streamline, unify, and digitise workflows for shippers and their logistics partners, announced the launch of a new Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution yesterday – to support small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in their efforts to digitise and streamline their supply chains.

A virtual industry event was also held yesterday in conjunction with the launch of their new offering, to share more about the Trames solution with SMEs in Singapore. Included among those involved was keynote speaker Mr Loh Sin Yong, Director (Trade) from the Infocomm Media Development Agency (IMDA), representatives from the Supply Chain and Logistics Academy (SCALA), and industry players who have been early adopters and close partners of Trames. Quotes from SMEs who are early adopters of the new SaaS solution can be found in Annex A of the press release.

Mr Lim How Kiat, General Manager, ADEMCO (Far East) Pte Ltd

“Granular visibility across our shipments – especially international ones – have always been a challenge for us, where we are highly dependent on the promptness of our forwarders or other partners we work with. Without this visibility, we may be subject to delays that would cause liquidated damages and demurrage costs.

With the Trames solution, we have been able to easily gain visibility and track all our shipments, avoiding unnecessary delays and costs. Being able to work with our partners on a neutral platform has benefitted us too; our staff now have more time to focus on other duties and achieve greater efficiencies and productivity across our processes.”

Mr Jarryl Hong, Director, HEC Electrical & Construction

“Having since used Trames, we have managed to substantially reduce the number of paper documents and communication channels to one single platform. With the Trames document repository, our partners have also been able to easily and promptly check shipping documents whenever they are uploaded.

Any action performed will also trigger a notification to all parties in one shipment – this has eased tracking and improved response time. Overall, reducing paperwork and the number of emails between our partners and us has not only been a great experience but also improved our operations.”
