Macroview Selects NetApp to Expand Managed Cloud Services Platform For Its Customers

Hong Kong – 4 February 2021 – Macroview, one of the largest independent digital technology solution and managed service providers, has selected NetApp, a global cloud-led, data-centric software company, to support its customers in strengthening and expanding managed cloud service platform into Malaysia, Philippines, and Singapore in 2021.

With the goal of helping customers to establish corporate digital capabilities, and to meet their increasing demands to collect, store, and analyze data from daily transactions and extract useful insights, Macroview adopted NetApp HCI, a scalable, on-premises disaggregated hyper converged infrastructure for the hybrid cloud environment, to fulfil its virtual infrastructure requirement at the edge in 2019. Leveraging NetApp’s expertise in data and cloud, Macroview built a Multi-Clouds Gateway that further enhances the agility and availability of its solution-based cloud services. Most importantly, NetApp’s vision of building a data fabric that ensures always-on and easy-to-consume data from anywhere in the cloud or on-premises aligns with that of Macroview’s.

Since leveraging NetApp, Macroview has reduced CPU consumption consistently by at least 20%, while shortening the delivery time from three weeks to one day. NetApp also enables Macroview to control the resource consumption rate of different service applications, hence improving management efficiency. Macroview’s customers can enjoy stable performance of business-critical applications and an infrastructure that is scalable for unexpected business growth. The managed solution service helps customers to reduce cost and at the same time increase operational productivity. Eli Ngai, CIO of Macroview, said: “These days, customers want agile services and IT experts who can build, run and manage their IT infrastructure and cloud services. With NetApp, my team can provide resources they need from the NetApp HCI platform easily, empowering our customers to maximize the benefits of cloud and data.”

George Ng, Senior Regional Manager and General Manager for NetApp Hong Kong and Macau, said: “NetApp believes in the power of data and a simplified cloud-like experience across the entire infrastructure – be it on-premises or in the cloud. We are proud to help Macroview in accelerating their digital transformation journey and achieve business expansion. We will continue to empower Macroview on their journey and unleash the full potential of cloud.”

Macroview has seen the value of cloud versatility, particularly during the pandemic. NetApp’s extensive experience in providing digital technology solution and managed service, will help Macroview’s customers stay resilient in the volatile business environment and scale to grow with the increased market demand in managed cloud services.
