Hysan Development x Lee Gardens Association instil positivity into its beloved neighbourhood “POWER UP YOUR WEEKEND at Lee Gardens” Cheer-Up Zone

Hong Kongers are undoubtedly facing a lot of stress under the epidemic. During trying times, we must lend a helping hand to one another, promote personal hygiene and, most importantly, boost positivity! As such Hysan Development joined hands with Lee Gardens Association to bring the “POWER UP YOUR WEEKEND at Lee Gardens” Cheer-Up Zone. For two weekends starting May 9, the streets of Causeway Bay will be filled with a number of installation arts in the form of colourful, gigantic balloons and cheer-up mottos to not only inject some positive energy into our beloved neighbourhood, but also double as a backdrop to your photos to spread your cheers among friends and family. To the side of the installation is the “Chill-Out resting zone” featuring outdoor recliners and hammocks to transport passersby into nature so they can relax, recharge and remind themselves to be optimistic amidst unprecedented times.

‘Inject positivity and hope into our beloved neighbourhood over the much-anticipated weekend’
To prevent the spread of COVID-19, Hong Kongers have been staying indoors and keeping masks on at all times, which, consequently, has stolen our smiles and motivation. As such, POWER UP Your Weekend has scattered around Lee Gardens a bunch of cheer-up décor both big and small, such as two three-metre-tall balloons to offer respite to Hong Kongers even if they’re just going about their day in the Lee Gardens neighbourhood over the weekend.

Beside the gigantic balloons are myriad vibrant installations topped with a number of cheer-up mottos such as “Weekend Vibes”, “Stay Well” and more. The light is not far from the end of this epidemic tunnel, and a rainbow surely awaits!

It’s always more fun with friends. Though we have to keep social distancing now, we can still send our blessings far and wide! Lee Garden’s POWER UP YOUR WEEKEND cheer-up zone brings a literary installation measuring almost 1.5m tall. A simple motto of “POWER UP” paired with striking orange surely brings relief to a stressful week! Snap a shot with the supersized “POWER UP” and send it to your friends and family to inject them with the positivity they need to get through this pandemic. Beside the installation is a “Chill-Out resting zone”, featuring outdoor recliners and hammocks to mimic sunny days spent on the beach or breathing in Mother Nature so participants can forget, even for awhile, the hustle and bustle of daily life.
