Hong Kong-based WorkTech and Tricor Group Partner Up For AGM Season

The companies will provide solutions for holding Annual General Meetings in the ongoing COVID-19 situation.

Coworking space WorkTech, based in Hong Kong, and Asia business expansion specialist Tricor Group have partnered up to offer Meeting Management Solution, an alternative to the traditional offline format of annual general meetings (AGMs), the companies announced in a statement.

Precautionary measures, including those announced by the Government of Hong Kong following the COVID-19 outbreak, affect companies that were slotted to hold their AGMs during this period.

Joe Wan, CEO of Tricor Hong Kong, said in the statement, “Tricor always strives to stay ahead of market trends, partnering with WorkTech is a strategic move to enrich our customer experience and assist businesses to address challenges.”

While gatherings for work or compliance with regulators are exempt from the restrictions on public gatherings, companies are keen to take on minimal risk and are now looking for virtual or less populated alternatives.

In this situation, Tricor and WorkTech’s Meeting Management Solution provides a hybrid meeting and e-voting system for shareholders, which is suitable for AGMs that are held both physically and virtually.

WorkTech provides business-specific coworking spaces that are customized to local industry trends and communities, while Tricor provides business solutions such as management advisory and corporate administration to over 10,000 industrial clients.

The collaboration emerged out of Tricor’s network of listed enterprise clients and WorkTech’s industrial capabilities (which includes company secretary, banking, legal advisory, and more) to create an AGM venue solution.

While Tricor is focused on listed company clients, WorkTech functions as a soft landing spot for startups entering Southeast Asia.

“Tricor serves a plethora of listed company clients. Partnering with Tricor will only serve to strengthen WorkTech’s business network, whilst positively impacting and enriching our meeting management services,” said Natasha Ho, Chief Strategy Officer & Head of Global Development of WorkTech.

Additionally, Tricor has developed an advanced digital board portal solution. The portal facilitates meetings and real-time interactions between board members.
