(Hong Kong- 3 November 2017) The Opening Ceremony of the first cryptocurrencies over-the-counter (OTC) trading center in Hong Kong, Genesis Block, was held today at Wan Chai. Mr. Leonhard Weese, President of Bitcoin Association of Hong Kong, was invited to share his views on cryptocurrencies to kick off the event. In addition, Mr Roger Ver, CEO of Bitcoin.com, also known as “Bitcoin Jesus”, gave his congratulation message through a video. And the ATM machine for Bitcoin, Ethereum, and mining machines were showcased during the event.
Mr. Wincent Hung Ka Ho, Director and Founder of Genesis Block and Mr. Leonhard Weese, President of Bitcoin Association of Hong Kong, hosted the opening ceremony of Genesis Block– First Cryptocurrencies OTC Trading Center in Hong Kong.
In view of the rising awareness of cryptocurrencies, and to promote their liquidity in an effective way, Genesis Block has set up the first OTC cryptocurrencies trading center in Hong Kong. Its services cover cryptocurrencies trading, miners reselling, crypto ATM and co-working & event space rental for Fintech, cryptocurrency, and Blockchain industry. It positions itself like an Apple Store for the cryptocurrencies community, with the aim to bring like-minded and energetic individuals together for the Fintech industry.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Wincent Hung Ka Ho, Director and Founder of Genesis Block mentioned, “As an international financial center, the development of cryptocurrencies in Hong Kong should integrate with the rest of the world. The aim of setting up Genesis Block is to promote and facilitate the cryptocurrencies and Blockchain related industry in Hong Kong.”
Mr. Leonhard Weese, President of Bitcoin Association of Hong Kong, shared his view after his visit to the trading center, “With comfortable environment, well-equipped facilities and superior location, I believed Genesis Block will become a hot gather spot for the Fintech community, which provides a good platform for crypto investors to share information and interact with each other, and at the same time, to obtain updated knowledge about the industry.” He also mentioned,” Since the evolution of cryptocurrencies in 2012, there are diverse views from different parties towards cryptocurrencies, but I highly believed that the investment in cryptocurrencies will gain increasing popularity in the near future. As a stakeholder of the Fintech industry, I think information security and internet privacy should be put on the top priority.”
