Endowus Launches New Cash & SRS Portfolios Built On Access To Low, Institutional-Cost, Systematic And Passive Index Funds Managed By Dimensional, PIMCO, And Vanguard For Singapore-Based Retail And Accredited Investors

Singapore, 27 May 2020 – Today, Endowus.com, one of Singapore’s leading MAS-licensed investment advisors and the first and only digital advisor for the Central Provident Fund (CPF), announced new Cash and Supplementary Retirement Scheme (SRS) advised portfolios, which will provide their clients with access to funds managed by three of the largest fund managers in the world (Dimensional, PIMCO, and Vanguard), that collectively manage a total of US$6.5 trillion in assets globally.

The addition of Dimensional Fund Advisors and PIMCO’s institutional funds will further diversify and upgrade Endowus’ existing Cash and SRS portfolios, improving the efficiency and reducing the risk associated. Endowus will also add a new Vanguard-managed S&P 500 passive index fund to its core equities allocation.

Samuel Rhee, Chief Investment Officer at Endowus, said: “The new portfolios will meaningfully improve the efficiency of the portfolio and also align our strategic passive asset allocation across Cash, SRS, and CPF. At Endowus, we pride ourselves on acting completely in the best interests of our clients. We refuse to take any sales charges, completely rebate 100% of all trailer fees and sales commissions paid out by fund managers to our clients, and source for the most tax and currency-efficient low-cost investment options.”

The new globally diversified portfolios are available exclusively via the Endowus platform with 0% sales charge, 100% of trailer fees rebated to their clients, and a low all-in flat Access Fee of 0.25% to 0.60% per annum.

Endowus offers risk-appropriate and diversified portfolios of global fixed income and equities. This is based on Endowus’ evidence-based approach to investing, which means analysing empirical data and time-tested investment strategies with real track records of implementation by top global fund managers, as opposed to back testing or speculative market timing strategies.

All portfolios are curated by Endowus’ Chairman and Chief Investment Officer (CIO), Mr. Rhee, who has over 26 years of experience in institutional investing and was the former CEO and CIO at Morgan Stanley Investment Management in Asia. Mr. Rhee helms the Investment Committee at Endowus and assesses all available fund products in the market, ensuring that the most efficient fund products are sourced and made available to Endowus’ clients.

Endowus’ latest enhancements to their Cash and SRS investment portfolios follow its announcement this April, which gave CPF members the option to invest their CPF into the Infinity Global Stock Index Fund — a Vanguard-managed global developed market equities passive index fund exclusively available to clients in Endowus’ CPF advised portfolios. There are now two Vanguard-managed passive index funds (tracking the MSCI World Index and US S&P 500 Index) exclusively available for CPF investment via Endowus.

“Despite the recent market volatility, we have been unwavering in our investment strategy — which is implemented through a strategic and passive asset allocation designed for client goals. While the pandemic has brought about major economic dislocations, it does not fundamentally change how we should invest. In fact, we believe the importance of core wealth advice is even greater, and we have been encouraged by a steady inflow of investments from our clients over this trying period”, Mr. Rhee added.
