The Kowrk Speaker Series aims to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and insights between industry & academic experts and startups. Honey Jain Kathuria, the founder of Kowrk.com, said “As a platform that connects startups with shared office spaces, we see Kowrk as a significant contributor to the startup ecosystems of the locations that we is present in. The Speaker Series is another initiative to this end”. Kowrk plans to tap its deep connections with industry and academe to bring experts to share their expertise and guide entrepreneurs. Many of these connections were developed by Ms. Kathuria during the 14 years she spent working as a management consultant with firms across the globe prior to starting Kowrk.
Ms. Kathuria’s experience of managing the offline business in the Asia-Pacific region for Hotels.com helped her recognize the future of coworking spaces and develop a deep insight into the nuances of connecting users and providers of perishable real-estate inventory. Kowrk.com has recently been making some major headway in the Hong Kong and India. “We’ve had some pretty good success in India; it’s nice to see we’re doing well in Hong Kong too” Ms. Kathuria adds. “Startups constitute a significant share of our customers and we hope that this Speaker Series helps to grow the ecosystems that we are a part of”.
